Spy Shots - Porsche 911 facelift

New spy photos of future 911 have been made during some tests. He will be released next year at the Frankfurt Motor Show.

Codename of the new facelift is 991, and both coupe version, and the cabriolet have undergone changes, both in terms of motorization, and aesthetic.

The new 911 is longer and wider than the current generation. The wings are wider, so the model can be loaded with 20 inch wheels. Headlights and taillights were slightly modified, getting new LEDs. The side mirrors have also undergone minor modifications.

In terms of motorization, 911 facelift will have the same six-cylinder petrol engine equipped with direct injection. The new model will be more efficient in terms of consumption and pollution.

When it will be launched, it will be available in two engine versions. The first version will have a 3.6-liter engine which delivers 365 horsepower. The second version is equipped with a 3.8 liter engine and will develop 415 hp.

Both engines will be assisted by a six-speed manual transmission, in standard version. But customers can choose PDK transmission (Porsche Doppel Kupplung) with paddles behind the steering wheel. It could also be introduced the stop-start system and
recuperation brake system, which will be having a reduced consumption by 12% in the city in case of Carrera and Carrera S.

In the future, there will be more variants, including more powerful versions of Turbo, GT2 and GT3.
