Volkswagen unveiled the most economical Scirocco

Volkswagen has published informations on the most effective version of the Scirocco in terms of consumption and emissions. This is achieved by Germans through the implementation of the BlueMotion Technology package on diesel version 2.0 TDI of 140 and 170 horsepower.

The new Scirocco is
equipped as standard with the start-stop system and regenerative braking energy system. Thus, the Volkswagen Scirocco reaches a consumption of 3.7 litres/100 km, the emissions reaching 118 g/km. These values are also found in the version equipped with 6-speed manual transmission.

DSG manual transmission version also has these changes, in this case consumption is only 4 liters per 100 km, with emissions of 129 g/km.

Volkswagen will apply the same
BlueMotion package on the 170 hp version, engine met also on the Scirocco GT. This engine variant is equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission and achieves the consumption value of 4.3 litres/100 km, while emissions reach 134 g/km.

The Passat CC will also benefit of BlueMotion technology package, this means that this model will enjoy of a stop-start system and brake energy regeneration system. Version 2.0 TDI develops 140 horsepower which has a fuel consumption of just 3.9 liters per 100 kilometers, the CO2 emissions reach the value of 125 g/km.
