Volkswagen has released official pictures of the new Golf convertible, based on the Golf 6 platform. Volkswagen has Removed from production the Golf convertible 12 years ago. German Convertible was based on Golf 3 platform, but received some elements from the Golf 4.It is possible the new convertible to replace the Eos model. The roof is based on an electro-hydraulic system, it can be dropped or placed in 9.5 seconds.
Golf Cabrio will be offered with turbocharged Otto six units under the hood, equipped with direct injection, four propellers TSI and two TDI engines.
The weakest version will develop only 105 horses, and the GTI will provide a stud of 210 horses.
There will be two diesel versions, a 1.6-liter TDI engine of 105 horses, and a unit of 2.0 liters and 140 horses. In case of the 6-liter version, customers can opt for a seven-speed DSG manual transmission.
In Germany, VW Golf 6 Cabrio's price was set at 23,625 euros (32,385 $/19,934 sterling), soon will be unveiled the prices for the other markets.
