SLS Roadster comes with conventional doors, and obviously, with a folding roof, which are the only aesthetic differences between the coupe and convertible. Soft-top roof of the roadster is made of three layers of cloth, magnesium, steel and aluminum. It can be folded in 11 seconds to a speed of 50 km/h (31 mph).
The model benefits of a chassis as rigid as in the case of SLS 63 AMG.
Under the hood of the SLS Roadster is the same 6208 cc aspirated V8 engine capable of delivering 563 horsepower (420 kW) at 6,800 rpm and 650 Nm (around 480 lb-ft) at 4750 rpm.
