Spy Shots: Audi testing in Nurburgring the S5 facelift

Audi is working on a facelift version of the S5, which will debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, and in short time after that will be offered for sale.

On the aesthetic level, there is no major changes, the front shows a set of modified optical blocks, LED taillights have also undergone some changes, this time we can see a higher similarity with the A7 Sportback.

Nobody knows if under the hood it will be the same 4.2 liter V8 engine or if engineers will introduce the 3.0-liter V6 unit which equips the S4 model. It may still be offered a six-speed manual transmission and double clutch in standard, which could be accompanied by an eight-speed automatic gearbox for the most demanding customers.

Restyling treatment will be applied later for A5 Cabrio, A5 Sportback and RS5. RS5 Facelift might debut at the beginning on U.S. market.
