Besides Leaf, there will be other three electric models in the Nissan range

Nissan plans to introduce in the next years other three electric cars on the market, including an Infiniti model (the luxury brand of the Japanese manufacturer). The Leaf model will be marketed later this year on several markets.

Pierre Loing, one of the important people at Nissan Europe, said in a statement: "The Leaf's addition, by 2014 we will have an electric minivan and a small sporty car class that will be marketed under the
Infiniti brand."

Future competitors of Infiniti model could be Mini E BMW ActiveE. The minivan mentioned above by Loing is likely to be a Renault Kangoo ZE (Electric) with Nissan logo.

A fourth electrical model could be derived from the Land Glider
concept, and the fifth model could be based on Renault Twizy, which was recently presented by Nissan under the name New Mobility Concept.

The last two models are equipped with only two seats, the
passenger seat being installed behind the driver.

Renault-Nissan Alliance is determined to invest 4 billion euros to launch 8 new electric cars, and wants the production of these cars to reach a value of 500 000 copies per year in the coming years.
