Sound of the future Audi electric cars

Audi is working intensively on the sound that will delight the ears of Audi electric car owners. But I think that "will delight "is a bit inappropriate expression, I think that the quiet sound would be downright boring, considering that the prestigious car manufacturer plans to implement to its cars a technology whereby the sound of its cars will resemble with the sound of RSQ concept from the movie "I, Robot." From my point of view, the future looks grim, sprinkled with a total silence that seems to tingle in my ears, this sound is not pleasant. It seems that all manufacturers will bring all "horses" to... silence.

The future electrified Audi's will be equipped with an acoustic artificial system as a safety measure, meaning that at speeds exceeding 25 km/h will not be heard almost nothing. Over this speed, the noise produced by tires and air friction will be similar to that of conventional cars. But I must admit, however I would be disappointed by the weak sound of the future electric cars, I like very much that the cars will become much safer.

In a statement, company officials said: "The technicians are working hard at the sound of Audi-tron. It is not just a matter of safety, but also a question about how it should sound an Audi of the future."

It ia possible the sound reproduction of a gasoline or diesel engine to be an option, but Audi wants that his hybrid and electric vehicles to be great products with a distinct sound.

Ralf Kunkel, director of the Acoustics from Audi said: "The sound
used at spacecraft from movies are reminiscences of the sounds of a car, yet different, and represents an interesting approach. However, Audi will not sound like a jet. The sound will still be unusual. Audi RSQ from the movie "I, Robot" offers a good example of how it might sound an Audi in the future."
