The new 2012 Corvette - details




General Motors has released some important details about the highly awaited 2012 Chevrolet Corvette, but the real delights will be revealed at the National Corvette Museum.

The most important information provided by U.S. manufacturer so far is that the American model will have a special set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup Zero Pressure tires, due to which the American supercar will provide outstanding handling on dry pavement. Also, GM engineers have implemented Performance Traction Management (PTM) system which helps to an enhanced performance in terms of torque.

Corvette comes with new racing-type spoiler, Magnetic Selective Ride Control ZO6's case, ZO7 boasts with a set of ceramic Brembo brakes. ZO6 comes with carbon fiber hood. ZR1's clients have on their disposal both manual gearbox with five and six steps for a more efficient fuel consumption.

The interior greets us with a new steering wheel and new seats that have received higher headrests. They are more comfortable and there is the option of microfiber suede inserts. U.S. manufacturer also offers a Bose audio system with nine speakers.

Brake calipers may be red, yellow, silver or gray.
