Spy Shots - BMW prototype shrouded in mystery

Recently, photographers have captured a mysterious prototype at BMW FIZ test center in Munich. So far there is no known details about the prototype. This mystery is so deep, that nobody knows if that's indeed a BMW. Some rumors indicate that it is a Wiesmann model , whose roadsters (MF3, MF4 and MF5) are equipped with BMW engines. M5 and M6 models are no longer manufactured. This means no engine placed under the Wiesmann roadster's hood are still in production. German sports car manufacturer could adjust the new engine.

The model has two rear seats and telescope
works as a hatch door. These details reveal that we are dealing with a coupe that features a pretty generous trunk and a retro design. This type of design is not specific BMW or Mini, but rather it reflects the typical style Wiesmann. Taillights of MF4 and MF5 models are similar, they are identically mounted, two on each side, those above being located to car's exterior.

Some believe that it would be the Z4 Coupe, others think it's about Z2. But for now, these are just unconfirmed rumors.

Autoplus announced that the prototype is a PGO Hemer. PGO is a French niche brand, using Peugeot engines. Those engines were developed in collaboration with BMW and the prototype has arrived in Germany for some changes.
