Spy Shots: First Images Of Aston Martin Rapide S, Future Opponent Of Porsche Panamera Turbo S

Aston Martin is working intensely on Rapide's top variant S, which promises to be a formidable opponent for the recently launched Porsche Panamera Turbo S.

The first information indicates that the new model could benefit from an aspirated V12 engine that could develop about 510 horsepower (375 kW). Not much, compare to the 550 horses (410 kW), which the Panamera Turbo S is able to offer, with the help of 4806 cc V8 engine. Aston's engine has been taken from DBS.

From an aesthetic point of view, the more more performant version of Rapide, presents modified bumpers, which are more aggressive. The back features a pretty elegant spoiler, is attached to the trunk lid.
