Porsche Cayman R will be exposed to Los AngelesFrom an aesthetic point of view, the more performant version of Cayman comes with a black background optical blocks, a new housing for the mirrors and a vinyl implemented on the side. Ground clearance has been reduced by 20 mm, the back is equipped with a fixed aileron. Also, on the outside can be seen a set of silver 19-inch wheels.
Under the hood of the Cayman R lies a six-cylinder engine of 3.4 liters, which develops 330 horsepower, 10 horsepower more than the Cayman S. The fireball weighs just 1295 kg.
These values helps Cayman R to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in five seconds, top speed is 282 km/h. But these performances can be enhanced if the client chooses PDK automatic gearbox, in this way the figures come at: 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. But if you choose the Sport Chrono Package, the car can reach 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds.
The new Porsche Cayman R will be available on the European market in February 2011, for Germany starting price being 69,830 euros.
