Spy Photos: Meet the next generation Opel/Vauxhall Astra VXR, the death enemy of Renault Megane 250

German hatchback was surprised at the tests of Scandinavia. The new Opel/Vauxhall Astra VXR will have under the hood about 50 horses more than the Megane 250, which would mean around 300 horsepower.

Also, the chassis has been changed to provide enhanced performances. A company insider told Autocar that the new model will be a more extreme one and will provide far superior driving experience than the old generation.

To achieve this, German engineers have eliminated old electronic limited slip differential, and replaced him with a mechanical differential type Quaife.

The new model will debut at the Geneva Motor Show in 2012, and will be released in summer of the same year.
