Future BMW M3 engine will deliver 445 hp

The next generation F30 BMW M3 will be equipped with an engine N54B30T0, who will be able to deliver 445 horsepower. We will also encounter the same engine under the hood of a BMW M, but in this case the power will be "only" 340 horsepower. By launching two versions of this engine, BMW will have a production cost reduction and development.

Electronics constitutes the main difference between the two engines. Adjust the
cylinder air admission is achieved through the Valvetronic system, BMW direct injection pressure is high, meaning that merging these two technologies can be an important difference in the engines operating mode. Both technologies will be implemented on the two units, electronic configuration and some technical delights will mean the difference between the two engines.

BMW M3 will no longer be equipped with 4.0 liter V8 engine that develops 420 horsepower. BMW plans to use again the six-cylinder turbocharged engine, which will have a turbine, performance being enhanced this way.
