Recently, MG Motor has launched the MG6 sedan , which should have been launched in autumn 2010, but due to criticism from the public, the launch was postponed.Under the new model's hood lies a 1.8-liter turbo engine capable of delivering 147 horsepower. Top speed is 193 km/h (120 mph), the sprint from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) is achieved in about 9 seconds. This engine is the third generation version of the Rover K-Series, now named N-Series.
Both hatchback and sedan versions will be assembled at the plant from Longbridge. 40 employees handle MG6's production line and the result is 5000 units per year.
The model will be offered only on the British market. But it is possible that to be released to the remaining European markets in the summer of 2012, maybe even later.
In England, the price of the new MG6 sedan is 19,700 euros (16,500 pounds/26,617 $).
