Saline Bird Concept

Five students from a design institute in France have made a very interesting creation during a design exercise for the final 2010-2011 project. The model is a concept called Saline Bird and is a sport motorcycle for the "Les Triplettes of Bonneville" competition in France. The design is based on the shape of a skier flying down the slope.

The model is equipped with a compressed air engine, which is fed with three air tanks, with a total capacity of 27 liters. The bike features a carbon fiber frame with leather skin components, that replaces the usual body panels.

The engine was offered by MDI, air tanks are from Luxfer. Another partner in this project was BRM. The bike can be used on the road by replacing the handlebar.
