Lamborghini Estoque could go into series production

Stephan Winkelmann, Lamborghini president, said last month it plans to introduce a third model in the range. In a recent interview, Winkelmann said: "We can exploit other segments outside of the supercars. We have demonstrated that with the Estoque. The enthusiasm with which it was received surprised us all. It was certainly an optimal time to try something else. People send me emails even today to convince me to develop Estoque. We currently have the choice of two directions for our range of models: an SUV and a four-seater. For me personally, an SUV can not exist. It could not position on our price segment and could not be a luxury product. "

Head of Sant'Agata Bolognese company is considering that a coupe with four seats would be a magnet for new customers. He said: "There are many more opportunities in the segment models with four seats. A third model will be completely new and will serve to bring different public in our showrooms."

Luxury sedans had a good evolution in terms of sales, Winkelmann has denied that this would be the reason of developing a 4-door coupe. He said: "Some companies were forced to adapt their products to fit this area, but luxury brands do not follow this direction. The client wants the original version, not something adapted. It's normal to want an identical Lamborghini with the one from Italy. We deal with the personalization of the specimens, but we just summarize this and nothing more."
