Mercedes-Benz decided to introduce on the market in 2012 a wagon version of the famous model CLS.Dieter Zetsche, chairman of Daimler, said in a statement: "In 2004 Mercedes-Benz has created a new segment by launching the CLS coupe with four doors, thus giving birth to a design symbol. 170,000 customers worldwide shows how well has been received this model on the market. The decision to build CLS Shooting Brake emphasizes the role of Mercedes-Benz in creating innovative passenger cars (...). "
Mercedes-Benz CLS Shooting Brake will be produced at the Sindelfingen plant in Germany. This model is based on the Shooting Brake concept, presented in April in China.
