Audi RS3 was surprised at the tests conducted at Nurburgring. These tests revealed that the new RS3 will be soon available for sale. German model can achieve an impressive top speed of 310 km/h, yet it is possible that copies that will be put for sale are limited to only 248 km/h. 7-speed gearbox from the Audi S Tronic will be included in standard equipment.Under the hood of the Audi RS3 engineers have mounted the 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbocharged engine met on the TT RS. It will provide an extra 10 horsepower, maximum power is 345 hp and 450 Nm of torque. These values makes it a powerful rival of Ford Focus RS 500.
For the chassis to handle, Audi installed the same hi-tech adjustable magnetic dampers and the same rear differential that we meet on recent RS models. Thus 85% of power will be sent to the rear wheels.
People inside Audi have said that Audi will build only 2,700 copies, the same number as BMW M1 coupe, which will be presented in March at Geneva.
