Why would AMG unite with Ducati ?It seems that AMG will sponsor the Moto GP team of Ducati in 2011 season. This partnership aims also the presentation of Mercedes-Benz AMG models for test drive by Ducati and vice versa. In this case the advantage is that they will get an extensive dealer network without the cost of construction and procurement.
Moto GP Championship is a very popular phenomenon in Europe, USA and Japan. Mercedes-Benz is very active in terms of sales in these three markets, and this collaboration with italians from Ducati can only improve its image. Ducati will also be advantaged, this partnership offering them a bigger retail market.
