VW Golf Cabrio will be launched in spring of next year. The German automaker said the plant model will be produced at Osnabruck.Volkswagen Chairman Martin Winterkorn, said: "Over the years, some of the most beautiful cars in the world have been produced at this plant in Osnabruck. We will continue this tradition in 2011, with the new Golf convertible."
In 2009, the German giant bought the land, equipment and machinery owned by German bodybuilder Karmann at Osnabruck plant .
Since last year there were rumors which indicated that, besides the Golf convertible at Osnabruck plant could be produced also the VW BlueSport convertible.
Currently, 1,000 employees are working at the plant. By the end of the next year 1800 jobs will be created at Osnabruck.
