Lotus Elise gets a more extreme version, dubbed Club Racer which will be launched at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
The model will provide a better behavior on the track and beyond.
The big news is the introduction of the Sport mode of the chassis control system developed by Lotus which is called Dynamic Performance Management. Lotus says the new settings "allows the driver more vehicle control before an intervention is required." The model is receiving among other things things, an anti-roll bar.
New Lotus Elise Club Racer comes with the same 1.6-liter engine, but offers 139 horsepower, unlike the standard version, which develops 134. Also, Club Racer is lighter with almost 25 kilograms than the version mentioned above, to this factor contributing the ultra-lightweight battery: 5.4 kg.
Club Racer Lotus Elise is offered in six colors and a new design for the 12-spoke alloy wheels. The price is set at 32,760 euros (44,638 $/27,500 pounds).
