Ford has released a teaser with the Focus electric version

Although electric version of the Ford Focus will be presented over three days at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, U.S. manufacturer wants to push the Focus fans impatience, especially of the environmentalists, on the maximum rate, giving them a teaser picture of Ford Focus EV. The market debut will take place after this presentation. Focus EV will be introduced on the European market, but only in 2012.

The new model features a 136 hp electric motor and is powered by a lithium-ion batterie of 23 kwh.

Ford Focus EV batteries are cooled by liquid, a feature not found on other models in this segment. In this way, the accumulators temperature remains at an optimum level and their performances are enhanced. The American model has a range of 12o km (74 miles).

Ford Focus EV batteries have a
load duration between 6 and 8 hours. The loading is done at a standard power outlet.
