Detroit 2011: Ford Vertrek Concept, the future Ford design direction

Ford presented at Detroit a concept which constitutes the Blue Oval design direction.

Ford officials say the
Vertrek is the Kinetic design evolution line image. In other words, this concept will be in terms of style, the pattern for all future Ford models.

Regarding
Vertrek's futuristic aesthetics, it is a mixture between the design of Kuga and the Ford Escape's.

He presents an advanced trapezoidal grille in terms of style. Headlights and taillights are enveloped by a very aggressive allure, but still remain very attractive.

The interior features a very nice design. He points out that the Kinetic language has evolved a lot. Many items will not be found on the
Vertrek serial version, such as those pretty thin seats. Also, we will definitely not see on the production version the ceiling glass, which is one of the many delights of this concept.

On this model has been implemented the C platform, existing also on the Ford Focus.

Under the hood
Ford Vertrek hides an EcoBoost 1.6-liter engine with four cylinders. The concept benefits of the Start/Stop technology, which means more efficient consumption. By 2013, the EcoBoost option will be available for all Ford cars, which means that in the future we will witness a significant reduction in fuel consumption.
