The first spark of collaboration between Mercedes and Renault is evidenced by this news. A-Klasse and B-Klasse models from Mercedes will have under the bonnet a 1.6 liter turbodiesel engine met on the Renault Megane. This is capabble to deliver 130 horsepower.In change, Stuttgart giant will provide to Renault-Nissan Alliance a petrol engine 2.0-liter. Also Mercedes will offer to the Alliance the V6 and V8 units
Through this collaboration, Daimler and Renault-Nissan plans to develop engines between 1.2 and 1.8 liter. These units will be found on A-Klasse and B-Klasse models, but also on Renault Twingo, Clio and Megane.
