
The new R8 GT has the same engine as the Gallardo, the V10s 5.2-liter which has a power of 560 horsepower.
R8 GT has a R-Tronic semi-automatic gearbox and the four-wheel drive system delivers 15% power on the front axle and 85% on the rear. For better traction, the rear axle has among other things, a mechanical differential.
For a more efficient braking, ceramic discs are offered as standard.
At aerodynamic and aesthetic level, the changes are minor, consisting of inlets carved on each side and in spoilers. Active aileron is replaced by a fixed carbon fiber aileron, thereby eliminating additional motors, also obtaining a lower mass.
Carbon fiber was used when the glass body and they were this time polycarbonate windscreen was thinned. Battery mounted on the new R8 GT is 9.4 kg lighter.

Audi R8 GT will be produced in only 333 units, and in Germany the price of this fireball is 193,000 euros (about 205,000 dollars), something cheaper than the Gallardo, whose "heart" beats in it.
