Spy Shots: new generation Land Rover Range Rover

British engineers are working diligently to develop the next Range Rover generation. Some information argue in the future could exist also a hybrid version of the model, but there is no official details in this regard. The prototype from images has a body modified to meet current criteria for future model generation, which is expected for release in 2013.

The new Range Rover will be based on the platform of the Jaguar XJ. The model will increase in size with 25 mm and rear occupants will enjoy of a
125 mm higher space. The interior will be the real delight, through which Land Rover plans to kneel its opponents.

The European market will receive both Otto engines, and diesel, while the United States will be satisfied with a V8 petrol unit. Some rumors indicate that the new Range Rover will be equipped with many components made of special materials to achieve a total mass of several hundred pounds less.
