Hyundai i40 SW has been unveiled

Hyundai launched the new i40 wagon. It comes with a very pleasant exterior, an interior packed with premium quality materials and a range of engines that meet Euro 5.

The body shows a
grille with thw specific line design approached by the Korean manufacturer, which is accompanied by LED lights. The back presents a series of elegant taillights with a very bold design, having an strongly elongated shape to the side of the car. Line profile provides an slight sporty allure and quite provocative at the same time.

The interior comes with high quality materials, which could create problems even to models like Audi. Among other things, customers will also enjoy of Bluetooth system, parking assist, electric handbrake, reclining heated front seats, bi-xenon headlights and glass roof. The boot has a capacity of 553 liters, but can be extended to 1790 liters when the rear seats are folded.

Initially two engine versions will be available: a 1.7-liter 113 hp turbodiesel and a 1.6-liter 136 hp gasoline proppeller. Not long after launch, the manufacturer will offer customers two other versions of 2.0 liters, the first being a diesel of 113 hp with a consumption of 3.5 litres/100 km and emissions of 113 g/km.

Opponents of the Hyundai i40 will be the Volkswagen Passat, Ford Mondeo and Mazda 6. It will cost less than 23,000 euros, customers will be pampered with a longer list of options.

At the beginning of 2012, Hyundai will also launch the i40 Sedan. Allan Rushforth, head of Hyundai Europe, said this version will compete with the VW Passat CC.
