Mercedes C63 AMG facelift has been unveiled

First images with the performance version of the C-Klasse range. The new C63 AMG promises to be a formidable opponent for Bavarians's M3. The new C63 AMG shows serious changes, both aesthetic level, as well as mechanically.

The model takes alot of aesthetic elements of the standard C-Klasse such as L-shaped headlights, grille and LED lights implemented on the front bumper. Also, 18-inch wheels have been revised hiding behind them some modified brakes.

The most surprising element is that the Germans have decided to keep the same
6.2 liter V8 445 horsepower engine under the hood instead of mounting the new 5.5-liter turbo engine. However, for customers with more generous bank accounts, there is the option of a performance package, due to which the unit under the hood will be able to achieve 474 horsepower, and the limiter that stops speedometer needle to 280 km/h (174 mph) is removed.

German engineers have applied on the new C63 the MCT seven-speed transmission, which helps to reduce consumption by 10%. Performance version of C-Klasse makes the sprint from 0-100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.4 seconds, in case of the sedan version, the estate reaching this speed in 4.5 seconds, if the
performance package is implemented.

Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG is expected to debut at the Geneva Motor Show, commercialization starting this summer.
