Audi makes the biggest investment in history and creates another 1,200 jobs

Audi will make the biggest investment in the company's history between 2011 and 2015 and all the money will be used to develop electric and hybrid models.

Given the financial success which had lately, Audi plans to become the largest premium carmaker by 2015.

Audi will inject into research and development departments an amount of 11.6 billion euros, of which 5 billion will be destined for the German plants in Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm.

In 2011, the German manufacturer will create 1,200 jobs.

Next year, the Audi range will be enhanced by the appearance of Q3, and in 2012, by R8 e-Tron.
