Roadster has received a more elegant design. Mercedes SLK will be offered with three petrol engine versions. The first two feature a 1.8-liter engine, the first (SLK200) being 185 hp, and the second (SLK 250) 205 hp. SLK200 is equipped with a manual transmission with six reports and the sprint to 100 km/h is achieved in 7 seconds.
The SLK350 version hides under the hood a 3.5-liter V6 engine with direct injection, producing 305 hp. This version is equipped with a seven-gear manual transmission. SLK350 reaches 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds. SLK's top version has a highly efficient fuel consumption: 7.1 litres/100 km.
A new element of the new SLK's range is the 2.1-liter diesel four-cylinder bi-turbo engine that develops 305 horsepower.
German manufacturer will provide to the most demanding customers in the future a version called the SLK55 AMG, which will be equipped with a 428 hp V8 engine.
