Detroit 2011: Hyundai Veloster 2012



After a few recently teasers that have only accentuated even more fans excitement of the Korean brand, Hyundai has decided to officially launch at Detroit the long awaited model.

U.S. chief, has not denied that the new model will not be a rocket on four wheels, but the 1.6-liter engine of 138 hp delivered at 6,300 rpm and 166 Nm (123 pound-feet) offered at 4850 rpm will satisfy all the needs of less demanding customers. Hyundai Veloster benefits in standard of a six-speed manual transmission gearbox and double clutch. Average consumption reaches the value of 5.8 litres/100 km.

Because of the unconventional
right rear-door of the passengers, the car has a longer wheelbase than expected.

On the exterior, Veloster shows a quite attractive design with very discreet lines, but which gives a very elegant allure. It is targeted mainly young audience.

The interior shows also a quite nice look. One of the
delights offered by Veloster is the Blue Link system.

Starting price of the new Hyundai Veloster will be 17,000 dollars.
