Spy Shots: BMW M5

BMW M5 was caught by photographers during some tests. The generous lack of camouflage shows us that the model will be launched soon. It is possible that launch to take place during the Geneva Motor Show in March.

The prototype from images is called M5 F10. It is equipped with a series of larger alloy wheels, behind which hides the brake discs significantly
increased in size. Also, the wings grew in size to make place to the larger wheels. It is possible that these elements to be found on the serial version of M5.

BMW M5
F10 features a V8 4.4 liter bi-turbo engine, capable of delivering 550 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. This engine is based on that of X5M and X6M. The new M5 F10 is equipped with a dual clutch transmission.

BMW plans to implement on this model the Efficient Dynamics technology. In this way, the M5 will be more effective terms of consumption and CO2 emissions.
