BMW M3

M3, to be honest I have never seen it on the street. But i know one thing, I like it, pretty much. After all, i guess everybody likes this baby. Those from BMW thought to provide it some modifications. I keep thinking, how much they want to perfect it?! Is not the hottest appearance on four wheels that you can see either on TV or on the street, but, indeed, it looks quite aggressive and when you hear the "music" under the hood you manage to realize that has a very generous stud and the new improvements are transforming into a fireball that once is on a deserted road or a circuit can make you feel the adrenaline is taking over you, when you feel you do not get tired of slippage and generally the sensation you have when you're at he's wheel.

The new BMW M3 is more efficient, getting the Auto Start Stop Function. In combination with the new twin-clutch transmission, M3 becomes consuming on average just 11.2 litres/100 km, despite the 420 hp under the hood. Really effective!

Since spring 2010, BMW M3 will receive some of the benefits package EfficientDynamics technologies. Thus, the BMW M3 will be equipped with Auto Start Stop function, which automatically stops the engine when the car is stationary - with obvious benefits in congested urban traffic with frequent stops at traffic lights and traffic jams. Of course, the simple push of acceleration restarts immediatly the engine.

Auto Start Stop will be available with both 6-speed manual transmission and the new M Drivelogic transmission with 7-speed and double clutch. In the latter case, consumption performance of the BMW M3 are almost incredible, with a value of just 11.2 litres/100 km for the average consumption (from 11.9 version without Auto Start Stop Function). In case of M3 convertible version, the consumption is slightly larger, 11.5 litres/100 km (but better with 0.7 that at Auto Start Stop Function version).

However, BMW M3, in all three body variants (coupe, convertible and sedan) will acomplish the Euro 5 pollution standards.

And a surprise for Europeans: Although initially announced that the BMW sports package 'Competition Package' is available only for BMW M3 versions sold in America, here is that M3 Coupe and M3 Sedan versions for Europe are entitled to this treatment. Individualization of the car with this package involves lowering the suspension by 10 mm and adopting a new set of wheels 19 designed in"Y".

EDC dampers control system is specially conceived for sports mode 'Competition Package', is accompanied by changes in the mapping engine and control system stability DSC. There are not missing some aerodynamic carbon fiber accessories such as spoiler on the trunk lid or flaps of the front spoiler. More info on price at Geneva Motor Show 2010.
